Mini wick pot - you pick

Attractive self-watering pot for those who wish to "wick" their miniature violets.  Includes 2 1/4" (57 mm) pot, wick, and plastic reservoir (2 1/4"w x 4 1/4"h).  For best results, you must use potting mix containing at least 50% perlite--like our "wicking" mix.  Comes in four colors: clear, rose, violet, or green.  Select your color below.  To use, fill reservoir with water, exend wick from water in reservoir through bottom of pot into soil.

Mini Wicking Pot

I use the traditional ceramic two piece pots for my old violets and read/heard about water wicking violets. I purchased one pot to look it over for quality and functionality. The unit is compact, sturdy and easy to clean and comes with a wick. However, there were no instructions or a reference on how to pot the plant with the wick correctly. There are many positive reviews for using the Violet Barn system of pots & wicking soil that plants do well, so I decided to try the system with the new mini violets I order from VB and see how well it does in my home environment compared to the ceramic pots.

No Brainer

These are hard to find and I am happy to find them here. For the miniature African Violet, it takes the guesswork out of keeping them happy. And with them being clear, you can easily see when to refill.

Simple clean solution

These are tidy with a good fit, and let you easily monitor water level, allowing bottom watering without having the pot sitting in water. Simple and perfect for doing what they do!

Back when

I grew beautiful violets...in the '80s, I recycled the 'tubs of butter and made my own wicking system. I had my own lights back then too. This system to me...is the best way to get beautiful, blooming happy violets!!
