Aes. Thai sp variegated

(Thailand sp. variegated)  A mutation of an unknown species from Thailand.  A very rare, slow growing plant with beautifully variegated, thick leaves and bright orange-red tubular blooms.  A difficult plant to propagate (thus the high price) and an infrequent bloomer.  Grow this one for the beautiful foliage.  Unique, not likely to be found elsewhere.

Amazing variegation

Aeschynanthus is probably my favorite gesneriad, and I collect each species I find available. When I saw this one, I snapped it up. And I don’t regret it for a second, the color and variegation on this is pretty incredible.

Amazing foliage

An absolute star foliage plant! Leaves of heavy substance are the primary reason to grow this plant. Showy orange-red but sparse flowers sometimes appear to add an additional attraction. A bit slow to increase in size, but culture is easy. Worth the wait to produce a specimen plant.

Rare and lovely

If foliage is thick as stated, one is reminded of an equally difficult bloomer, the Hoya, one of my very favorite plants. When you are rewarded with a flower or two, WOW. A rare and beautiful event!
