An older variety, but still one of the best reds.  Terrific double deep red.  Excellent standard showplant.  (Stork)  AVSA #6279

Like a couple of other reviewers, I've always found Tomahawk hard to grow. I don't know why. I keep reading here and elsewhere on the internet that Tomahawk is one of the "best reds" and "easy to grow", but in my several attempts to grow it, from severeal different vendors, it goes *kaput*.

Love all violets but this one has to be on the top of my favorite list! Blooms almost all the time. Highly recommend.

Love the red

I have had this violet for a few years and liked it's color so much, I decided to purchase another one. Next to Spring Rose, this is probably my favorite plant.

Going strong

I've grown this cultivar on two different occasions after I lost the original. Tomahawk is very beautiful as far as a dark red bloom color and as a darker foliage. Must have liked it enough I got it again! This cultivar can stand some tough treatment! I left a Tomahawk under low light office conditions for about 6 months before moving it to a southern window. It's honestly rather neglected, but after a bit of watering continues to bloom!

Deep Red

I have had this violet for over a year. It is in constant bloom, and the longer I have the plant, the deeper the red. Very pretty shaped blossoms - remind me of a pansey. Just a very pretty plant to have!
