It's Back!!!
I purchased this plant many years ago as my first Violet Barn order back in 2013. I had it for some years and it always put on a show with it's blooms. I lost my plant years later and want to get this again because it was a favorite but the site had it out of stock for a long while. Now I'm thrilled to see this fantastic Rob's variety back on the page and I can't recommend this plant enough. The frilled blossoms with it's classic rose shape and dark serrated leaves is stunning. Definitely getting this again for my collection and you should to!

I had one of these and it did very well, but never got to bloom, I' think I overwatered it will get another one some day

A favorite!
I love the flower on this one - one of my favorites. It's a great grower and never disappoints. But be ware of suckering. Keep a close eye on it and remove them immediately, it won't disappoint.
Great Little Bloomer and Forms Nicely
I love this plant. The name suits it. It you like a little green on your edges, and a plant that easily fits into a small collection, this is a must have!
Dependable, but unruly
This cultivar propagates well, grows easily.... but tends to sucker or twist around, for me at least. I have found a solution: I grow young plants! Since it propagates well, and comes into bloom quickly... I just keep a mama leaf set, and if the plant on my shelf refuses to keep it's shape... I just replace it with a young baby. It is worth this extra work... very pretty! :)
Summer
I bought this little beauty back in July and my entire order was very well packed for shipping, especially for hot South Carolina summer. She is just gorgeous and easy to grow. I can not stop watching her grow.

Rob's Antique Rose

One of my favorites!
I have a lovely plant of Rob's Antique Rose and it is one of my very favorites. I don't think I will ever be without this variety. The leaves are lovely when the plant is not in bloom, and when it is blooming, I adore the ruffly edge with the contrasting greenish hue. It's a must have.
Gorgeous Plant
I ordered Rob's Antique Rose at the end of January. It hasn't flowered for me yet but I love the bronzy, ruffled foliage! Absolutely gorgeous! And as always, plants were perfectly packed for shipping.

I have this plant. This is my longest lived plant. strong and healthy with lots of flowers. Nice compact size. at times cant even see the plant it has so many flowers.

Once this little plant blooms it is almost in constant bloom. It is nothing to have 20+ blooms at one time. Highly recommend this plant.
Rob's Antique Rose
I will always want this african violet in my collection. It is a great bloomer and the colors of pink and touches of green on the frilled petals makes it my all time favorite and I have been growing since the 70's.
Wonderful African Violet
I had one of these several years ago. It is a truly beautiful African Violet! The flowers have dainty ruffles surrounding various shades of pink and rose. I had to have it again and recently purchased it. I plan to keep this in my collection! You can't go wrong with purchases from Violet Barn. Lori Wilson
Beautiful foliage!
This plant has beautiful unique foliage that is forming a perfect circle. I've only had one single stem of flowers so far but am about to repot so am looking forward to a lot more this summer!

This little violet is prolific! Friends love their new plants! The ruffled leaves backed in purple and the somewhat brown ruffled edge of the pink flowers make it very 'antique' or even 'victorian'. *****
Antique Rose
This plant is great to have if you are a violet collector like myself. But my leaves are very different from the picture. Some of the leaves have the red backing but others do not. Maybe it has to with my conditions in my home or could be a genetic factor (after all plants are like people in a way not all of them are going to look exactly the same). My plant hasn't bloomed yet so when it does I can't wait!

I have many violets and this one is one of my favorites. The dark green color of the leaves with the pink of the flowers gives a very lovely contrast.

Classy and beautiful, a favorite!
I ordered several min and semi-mini AVs for my starter collection, and among them is this little beauty. This is a very hardy plant, and had no stress in the shipping or changes to my lighting. The leaves and blooms look absolutely breathtaking, and look right at home with Victorian decor. A favorite!
Love this plant
I love this plant! I have constant blooms off of this one. I have it wick watered in an African Violet/perlite mix and it has done fantastic for me. Beautiful blooms and foliage. I just make sure any time a bloom gets old that I remove it. Even when I am neglectful with making sure the water level is kept up in the reservoir it still does well. I will continue to buy the Rob hybrids.
Very hardy plant
This little guy has survived many Alaskan winters in a home heated with a woodstove; often below 60F and with low humididy. It practically goes dormant for 6 months of the year, but blooms again each spring/early summer. As someone else previously commented, it's offspring don't look quite like the parent plant, but I'm just glad to have a violet blooming!

Rob's Antique Rose
I dearly love this plant, I ordered another one today as I lost the one I had last year due to a very hot summer here. My plants were in sunroom that had been shaded by large trees but due to a tornado we had to cut two of the trees down and didn't realize the plants were getting too much direct sun. I lost almost all of my plants. I can't wait to see the replacements I ordered today. Thanks so much for having so many beautiful plants. I love your website and how easy it is to navigate now that it has been redone. I have ordered quite a few plants from you and know the ones I ordered today will arrive in excellent condition. Received the plant with blooms already on it. They were just beautiful. Actual flowers were much more beautiful than the picture. They were very Frilly! The plant itself is dainty and well proportioned.

The plant always seems to be in bloom. I grow it in slightly cooler conditions and the green edging becomes even more stunning. Leaves grow well and remain in shape. Just love this plant. Highly recommend.

Amazing Flowers
This plant is amazing. It is covered in flowers that last for months. I potted it up to a 4" pot and I am growing as a small standard. The flowers have lovely shading and the leaves are very nice also.
