I’m Back!
This was my favorite Strepto when I first ordered from Violet Barn- I no longer have it so reordering and adding another. Looking forward to many blooms from this little gem!

No Kidding
They mean it when they say “heavy bloomer”! Those gorgeous velvety flowers just kept coming… until I killed it. Totally my fault— I’m a novice streptocarpus lover and I made a classic mistake by potting up too dramatically. I had found they needed daily watering in their initial little pots under grow lights, but they grow so fast, they needed repotting quickly. I should only have gone up one pot size. Instead, I put them into larger and much deeper pots, and took them out from under the grow lights since the new pots didn’t fit. Tragically, I kept up the same daily watering routine. They were immediately unhappy but it took me a little too long to realize what was happening… I had created perfect root rot conditions. I eventually potted them back down, trimming the rotten roots off… but it was too late. However, armed with new experience, I’m back here to buy the same amazing plants again. This time I won’t make that rookie mistake!

I've spent the last 3 days perusing your website and all your beautiful plants. I wish I could visit your barn in person. I finally decided which plants I want to order, and Bristol's Black Light is one of them. I can't wait to receive "him" and several others I'm ordering. Thank you for providing a wealth of information and education in addition to these beautiful plants.

One of the best!
I've been growing this one for a few years now, and I've been very pleased with it. I love the intensity of the color, especially in natural light, where it seems to nearly glow. I also like the slightly fringed edge of the petals. I've also found the leaves to be well behaved and fairly compact and retain their healthy deep green color well.

The color is spectacular, and it always seems to be in bloom. Aptly named!
Black Light
Love this Strep., a constant bloomer and the blooms are so velvety. You won't be disappointed. Love VB and am always pleased by whatever I order.
Great color combination
This is a really rich almost navy blue on bottom and a nice medium blue on top. Arrived in excellent condition (A + packaging!) and has really taken off since transplant. Bloomed within a few weeks of receiving. Great plant.
Love It!
After a month of receiving this Strep it has not stopped blooming! The color is amazing! One of my favorite streps! I love Violet Barn!
Bristol's Black Light
I love this plant and it blooms heavily.. Has a good growth pattern...
Strep. 'Bristols Black Light'
I love the deep dark color of this strep.and it really does glow with lighter accents but the best part of growing this plant is its nice compact growth habit witch makes it a perfect window sill candidate!
Favorite Strep
This one is incredible folks. Constant bloomer and incredible velvet blue color. Everyone that sees it wants to touch it, due to it's velvet look. I have 30 Streps and this is my favorite one so far!
Bountiful blooms!
This guy is amazing-I've had it just a couple months, and it's covered in flowers-still in a 2.5" pot, and it's got about 25 blooms! You can't go wrong with this one!

Bristol's Black Light
Good grower, blooms keep coming. Flowers are blue in natural light but more purple under house lights - very beautiful and almost ethereal.
