Last year I got a few streptocarpus plants. Never had them before but they are so pretty that I'm getting more of them. Bristol's Oriental Art is such a beaty and constant bloomer.

I lost all of my plants last year because of a stressful moving situation. Because of a bad case of "cabin fever" and nothing green to look at during winter I placed an order with Violet Barn knowing from previous experience that they do everything right. Mid Jan. I received some wonderful, healthy hoyas in an insulated box from New York to cent. Washington. No damage at all. Now I've ordered some of my favorite Streps that I lost and am looking forward to having their beautiful colors grace our new home. A stand out
What a beauty! I ordered several streps from VB this spring and this one really stood out right from the beginning. So vigorous, it took off like a rocket, with a mound of beautiful flowers, even though it is such a young plant. Winter tends to be more challenging conditions for me, but I have my fingers crossed it will continue to do well.
Vigor and bloom!
I've grown many streps, but this one is truly amazing with it's extra dark foliage, constant flowers, and tough constitution. It seems to be somewhat resistant to powdery mildew when the surrounding streps get it. It would make a great beginner plant! The only problem is that it flowers so much that new buds sometimes get caught in the dense growth, which is easy to solve with a few snips.
Breathtaking bloomer
Have had this particular plant around 6 months and it has produced stunning blooms as promised. The blooms just really pop out in all their glory. I fell in love with this one at first sight!

I saw violet barns steps reviewed in a online video and they were so beautiful filmed. Showed off so much more then the photos! I had to come buy some! Can not wait until I get my own!
A pleasant surprise!!
This one was a trial for me, my first Strep! It started blooming and hasn't stopped since!! it quickly became one of my all time favorite plants and so I ordered 4 other varieties as well, and love them!! Thanks for always sending healthy and beautiful plants!!
Fantastic Plant
Great plant for a novice or experienced grower. Many beautiful blooms to shower your day. It can tolerate some abuse. If you get busy and skip watering day and your plant wilts, just add a little water and in an hour the plant and blooms have popped back up. You need 2 or 3 of this plant!
sweet plant, easy bloomer
This one is still new to me but it started blooming right away and the flowers are so beautiful. I'm really happy with how vigorous this one seems to be so far. The description fits.
My best Strep
I have had this for about four years or so, and I have hardly ever had it it without flowers. It's relatively compact and just cute as a button. It doesn't multicrown too much, though I'm not prone to cleaning the crown. Love it!

Really nice, just like the picture. Dense and compact. Lots of long lasting flowers with good contrasty colors.
disapointed
My Bristols Oriental Art came with only two leaves and one leaf was damaged. I have done everything I can think of to spark some life into it but it has only grown one very small leaf and the other one has a spot starting to discolor. What am I doing wrong? Help! All my other plants from VB are happy and healthy.
Blooming wonderfully
My Bristols Oriental Art was in bloom within a week of receipt. I am wonderfully surprised at how long the blooms last - the first flower is going on 5 weeks now! Very happy with the plant. I even abused it and let it wilt to the point where even the flower was wilted and I thought I had killed it, but the leaves and the flower bounced back, good as new!

I have been growing this plant for a long time and it has never not been in bloom .The depth of the color seems to intensify as the plant gets older. Amazing!
Prettier than the picture
I received this plant exactly 1 month ago today. When it arrived it was a healthy robust plant.( As were all 9 of the plants I ordered ) Today it has 3 blooms that are stunning. The picture does not do it justice. It is a rich purple and very eye catching. I would recommend this plant and The Violet Barn to anyone who loves houseplants. I am very happy with all of the plants I ordered. They were packed well and all were healthy plants !!
will be a good bloomer
I ordered my first 3 streps this October. Although the others had only two leaves, this strep arrived with 5 leaves (and more on the way) and one open bloom (unlike the picture, the bloom is mostly white, with a few purple lines at the throat). After a week, the open bloom still looks fresh, and I can already see three more bloom stalks on the way! I can tell this plant will be a good bloomer.
