Bristol's Sally Mander

Rob's personal favorite.  Nicely fragrant and always is covered in bloom.  A cute plant you can't help but like.  Medium carmine-pink upper lobes, dark purplish-red lower lobes, spritzed with gold dusting on face, with two yellow 'fangs'.

Perfect!

I love the darker pink blossoms but my husband and I were thrilled with the scented blooms. I keep it closest to the edge of the shelf so that we can enjoy the fragrance!

A stunner!

Got this on impulse and am glad I did. The color of the flowers is so vibrant and beautiful, pictures do not do it justice.

Sally Lander is fantastic

Had this plant years ago and loved her. I gave her to a friend when we made a cross country move and I was afraid my plants wouldn't make it safely. Glad to be able to get her back.

This is a cute plant with beautiful blooms! One of my first streps and one of my favorites!

Prolific Bloomer!

This one has been one of my most prolific bloomers. Very cute!

Wonderful plant!

I received my Sally mander a couple weeks ago and it arrived with a nice bud the has since opened. It's growing well and already has more flowers coming in. Lovely plants!

Streptocarpus Sally Mander

This plant is truly remarkable. I divided it a while back and the original plant and divisions are already in full bloom! It seems to me that streptocarpus are easier to grow and bloom than my violets. I must say that I have not found any fragrance in these plants. VB Note: fragrance depends upon humidity and air circulation--more noticeable with higher humidity and less air movement.

A Real Performer!

A gem in my collection. Blooms almost constantly, and when in full bloom, the contrast between the light outer edges of the blooms and the deep, dark throats is most eye-catching. I highly recommend Bristol's Sally Mander for any grower.

Very cute

This one is very cute... bloomed well, but did have an issue when a "neighbor" of its came down with powdery mildew. Love to tell people the name of this little one when people ask what kind of plant this is!

Pretty plant with a cute name

I saw the picture of this plant as an adult and just knew I had to add it to my collection! It is bright and colorful but still nice and dainty looking. I love the name. It makes me think of my geckos.

Sally Mander

I purchased this streptocarpus a couple years ago and was amazed at what a beautiful plant it was. The plant bloomed constantly and has the most amazing colors. I would encourage anyone interested in buying Streps to buy Bristols Sally Mander.

Sally Mander

Pretty Blooms! The plant is compact and the foliage grows in a nice rosette. The fragrance is very mild and I can only smell it right when the flower starts to open up.

I ordered this plant a couple of years and it bloomed proficiently and had the most beautiful large flowers of all of the streptocarpus plants that I had ordered unfortunatly over the last couple summer we had phenomenal heat and I lost my gorgeous plant I would and am ordering her again.

Beautiful plant!

This is a very sturdy plant. I lost a number of my plants earlier this year during a remodel and this is one that survived and is thriving! The blossoms and foliage are both lovely, although I haven't yet smelled the fragrance. This is a must have for me (especially since it's a namesake!)!

Bristols Sally Mander

I love this plant. A heavy bloomer with a big bouquet of flowers. A real pleasure to watch grow and bloom.

Beautiful Strep!

This was my first purchase from The Violet Barn, along with Bristols Party Girl. Both plants arrived in perfect shape. This one seems to have grown a little more slowly than Party Girl, but it is now blooming and is absolutely gorgeous. I keep both at work, so I am educating my visitors about the ease and beauty of streptocarpus plants! Highly recommend it.

A must have Strep.

I love this one! My mature Sally Mander had masses of blooms. The frangrance is also an added bonus. Compact,a profuse bloomer, plus fragrant! You can't ask for anything more.

Sally Mander

Very hardy and grows well. It tends to have a few flowers often. I planted this one in a 4 inch pot almost right away and it did well. I also love the sweet fragrance. My other streps died when I kept them in the starter pot. Also you need to buy his soil mix, it is much different then African Violet mix.

Bristol's Sally Mander

As with all the plants I've bought here, this Strep arrived in flawless condition-vibrant,healthy and well-started. It started blooming in only a matter of weeks after receiving it and hasn't stopped yet! The color is phenomenal! It's so bright and cheerful, no matter how your day is going, you find yourself smiling and rejuvenated!

Bristol's Sally Mander

Recieved the plant about 6 weeks ago already in bud. It's been transplanted to a 3.5" Oyama pot, and receives 12 hours of light from two T-5 bulbs suspended 18" above the top of the pot. It already has three flower spikes each with multiple buds. The photo doesn't do it justice. The coloration of the flowers rivals any orchid. This will definitely be a collector plant.
