Myrtus com. minima

(Myrtus communis minima) A best-seller, because it's so easy to grow and shape.  A tiny little shrub with thin, stiff, stems and lots of tin, pointed, medium green leaves.  Dense growing, yet delicate, look.  Blooms too.  Photo is of an older plant grown as bonsai.

Great little tree

I have one of these from over 2 years ago that has been doing great. Very forgiving when I let the soil get too dry a couple times. Lost some leaves, but with care it filled back in and still looks great.

First plant

Although this is not MY first plant from Violet Barn, it was my mom’s. Seeing her tiny myrtle is what got me interested in the store, and now I have maybe about 20 trees from here! While my myrtle came in today, hers has been around a few months. It has stayed so small and required little care. It’s currently suffering a little drought damage, so I’m anxious to see how hers pulls through. Right now mine is so small, but still such a sweet little tree. I hope that mine lasts many years.

Lovely scent

I received this plant today. I accidentally bruised some of the leaves while unwrapping it and inadvertently discovered the leaves have a lovely orange scent. Great little plant that I’m excited to construct a miniature garden around.

Neat little plant

I purchased this because it was cute. It’s still cute! I’ve been wick watering and it seems to like that and is growing well.

Has become a favorite!

I love this plant but I learned that they need to be consistently watered. Never let this plant dry out and it preform fabulously!

Cute little

I love these little trees. I had 2 and went away for a few days. I should have set them in some water:( they were very shriveled when I got home so I am ordering 2 more. They are so cute.

Very cute

I got mine a few weeks back and I think I still need to trim it so it looks more tree like. I put it in the center of my closed terrarium and it's just so pretty I love it so much. I recommend it! I'm new to terrariums and I'm glad I picked this one out.

Beautiful terrarium tree

I've been growing this beautiful plant in a closed terrarium since I received it. It is growing quite slowly but happily, so I may need to trim it soon. Right now it is rather bush-shaped, but I suspect it will have no problems being trimmed into a more tree-like structure.

wonderful little tree

This little tree has done fabulous in my sealed terrarium. I've had to trim it back a few times, but requires little pruning compare to other plants I have. This is one I would highly recommend.

Adorable little tree

This looks exactly like a tiny tree. I love it! Has required little care and is doing great. Will probably buy another.

Adorable little plant

I bought this little plant to fill a 6-7 inch high and 3.5 inch diameter round mini-greenhouse. In the 6 months since adding it to my. Collection, it has thrived in a 2 inch pot and grown to fill the tiny greenhouse without crowding the space or needing pruning. Very attractive, and a true miniature specimen that will grow where you plant it and behave itself in even the smallest of containers.
