Long Lived Easy Grower

I ordered Fluffy Ruffles several years ago and planted it in my terrarium. It grew slowly and lived for at least 3-4 years. I goofed up the terrarium and ended up throwing it out before the plant ever died! Fluffy Ruffles is adorable, a nice slow grower and truly the best for any terrarium! Ordering it again.

Cute fern

This is a very cute fern. It covers the pot withy a springy green mass of tiny fronds. It's like a miniature Boston fern but fluffier. The Violet Barn always packs their plants to perfection.

This little fern is great in a terrarium and also in a dish garden. It is the perfect size!

Everyone Wants This One!

This lush little fern is the one everyone wants when they see it in a miniature terrarium. I've made dozens of terrariums for friends at work (and people who see them want then, so...more friends at work). I have to say, I underestimated it, but it is the best--it's bright, it;s not fussy, it grows happily and doesn't drown out the neighbors (although it gets very full, so a trim now and then will be needed). It's also really easy to propagate--gently split the root-ball and voila: another fern. The lacy little frontds are so curly-cute! sorry, I'm gushing. But I've gone through maidenhair ferns (heartbreakers), button ferns (gorgeous but iffy) and a bunch more, and these are the best terrarium miniatures for the money.
