Beautiful hardy plant
I have bought many begonias from Violetbarn in the last few years. I grow my plants on a shelf near our north east facing window wall. They started thriving and exploding with new growths and blooms once added growlights. Chivalry was sent to me as a free plant and I have had it for over 2 years now. It is a huge plant now with large leaves which are dark green; nearly black with bright green veins and red undersides. The new growth starts red on green petioles dotted with red markings. Overall a beautiful plant which I highly recommend for beginners as well as begonia collectors. The picture doesn't do justice to the specimen plant it can be.
Beautiful plant!
The leaves on Chivalry are huge, almost the size of my hand! In a window the bright center and striping give the appearance that the leaves are glowing from within. Sadly I missed watering a few times and it has suffered some setback but with some TLC hopefully I can get it back to its full splendor.
Chivalry is alive and well
I've been ordering begonias from Violet Barn for many years and have never been disappointed. No exceptions for B. Chivalry. My recent acquisition arrived intact and has put on many new leaves in a couple of weeks. No damage in transit due to robust packaging. Highly recommended!
Chivalry
The leaves are large with little jagged maroon edging. The back side is marooned color also. Yellowish/green center with green lines down leaves. All in all a very nice full shaped plant. Would recommend as a plant to purchase.
