One of my favorites!!

I always loved this one! Now that I am getting back into violets after many years, I am excited to add this to my order today!!

Rob's Hybrid's are ALL great!

I've purchased several Rob's variety. All were reliable bloomers with georgeous foliage. It's like being at a plant show on my window shelves!! This one is no exception!

Stunning foliage

The foliage alone on this plant is beautiful. The colors are stunning with green gold and reds. The happy healthy plant is already a favorite

Beautiful Plant

Received my plants all all were in perfect condition including this one!

A little charmer!

My plant arrived with many leaves in a well balanced "mound", I supposed. What startled me is that it really has the color of old wool argyle socks. There tones of cream, pale tan, pink, and several shades of green. The fuzzy texture of the plant's leave adds to the looks of wool socks. The posted photo do not do it justice. As pretty as the blooms look, I would have bought it for the foliage alone. It's a small plant, but it really stands out in my cluster of violets.

Perfect Grower!!

This has become one of my absolute favorites, it grows so perfectly symmetrical! I'd highly recommend this violet to anyone and everyone!

What a giver!

This one just blooms and blooms for me all year round. Nice behaved compact grower too!

Maria Mancini Mar 28 2019, 00:28 AM

One of the very best

Rob's Argyle Socks is one of the best little ones to grow for show. It is a naturally shaping, symmetrical variety that grows on its own. Everyone should have it in the collections.

Kurt Jablonski Mar 17 2019, 21:28 PM

perfect little plant

I am super impressed with this plants ability to grow a beautiful rosette with little to no grooming. mine had its leaves turn all green in the heat of the summer, but the shape is still perfect even growing in a window!

sara ponikvar Jan 15 2018, 13:12 PM

Nice little plant

This plant is always blooming and has pretty variegation!

M. Moore May 24 2017, 17:58 PM

Great little grower

Great little plant, puts out lots of blooms on nice symmetrical leaves, nice crown variegation if the temps are right.

Fantastic Plant

I've had one of these violets for the past several years, and it always impresses me. The blooms are gorgeous and very prolific, and the variegated foliage makes this a lovely plant even when it is not blooming.

Jessica Prescott Sep 18 2015, 20:54 PM

Gorgeous plant!

The fantasy flowers are a perfect compliment to the variegated foliage. One of my favorites!

Lisa Liff Sep 16 2015, 22:06 PM

nice but not my fav

I am an amature at growing violets. this plant has very pretty leaves and is very semetric, however, I had trouble getting it to bloom. so i prefer the faster blooming ones, Zipper Zapper is my fav and Dust Storm is second. Hope this helps. I also have limited space so i try to keep the ones i prefer. gave this one away to my coworker.

Holly Moran Aug 04 2015, 14:49 PM

Has it all!

Great plant - Has both fantasy and good crown variegation. It blooms heavily and is an easy grower.

Diana McAninch May 23 2015, 12:06 PM

Perfect size

This little plant is just so beautiful. I bought this plant years ago and it bloomed all the time. I had to give my violets away when we moved out of state and now I am trying to build up my collection of violets and streps again. I'm enjoying the process.

Judy Tallman Apr 11 2015, 17:35 PM

Karen Gard

A beautiful well formed little plant. The fantasy splashing is consistent and complimentary to the beautiful crown variegated foliage. An easy grower.

Janet Gard Sep 02 2014, 16:18 PM

Best foliage!

This plant has best colored foliage! Green, yellow, white and red. I love it! Absolutely beautiful little guy!

Marina Maner May 16 2014, 01:56 AM

Beauty

You can't go wrong with this little plant. You will fall in love with it when you open the package.

Judy Tallman Mar 25 2014, 15:01 PM

Thank you

I am so glad to see this plant again! Had it and lost it early on last year (before I knew how to care for them. One of my faves!

Sam Cunningham Oct 14 2013, 19:15 PM

gorgeous little leaves!

Mine isn't blooming yet, but the leaves are gorgeous! The leaves alone are really beautiful -- worthy of the Argyle Socks name. Everyone comments on them, and I just love them all by themselves. Wish I could give more than five stars -- this one ROCKS.

Constance Mayer Aug 29 2013, 18:57 PM

Perfection!

I am new to the av world and this was my first introduction to Rob's plants. I really appreciate the way the foliage is so well behaved that it just seems to grow itself. Although I purchased my Argyle Socks elsewhere, I will be ordering (lots) more of Rob's and Ma's wonderful plants!

Irene Struse Apr 09 2013, 00:33 AM

My favorite!

I've grown this little guy going on two years now, and it's my favorite (don't tell the others!) It's nearly always in bloom, and it's leaves grow in such nice well behaved rows, it's great!

Anna Ward Nov 24 2012, 04:07 AM

great plant...easy

This is a lovely semi-mini which seems to form a natural rosette for me...the crown variegation is really interesting and fascinating to watch as it grows...great plant.

Sharon Corton Sep 20 2012, 15:16 PM

Super for Show

I am growing this plant right now and am planning on showing it at the Ohio State African Violet Society show. It is my first show and this plant is really performing. Many have assured I will receive a blue ribbon for it. Super easy to grow and bloom and definitely worth being in your collection

Wilson Cronk Aug 23 2012, 17:20 PM

Beautiful plant form

My three girls and I raise about 60 mini violets, and this is one of the favorites. It's a beautiful plant even if it's not in bloom, with pretty flat symmetrical form, and variegated leaves. Very easy to grow.
