Presentations (new this year):
Saturday, 2:30 pm. "Growing Streptocarpus"
The basics of propagation, environment, and care of successful growing of streptocarpus.
Sunday, 2:30 pm. "From Seed to Show"
The journey of a showplant from its beginnings. Basics of pollination, different methods of propagation, potting, and growing into a mature specimen.
Guest Speaker:
Saturday 9 am. "Dish Gardens".
We are delighted to have a guest speaker, Karyn Cichoki, at this year's event. Karyn will be doing a "hands on" demonstration of dish gardens.
Karyn is a long time grower and exhibitor of African violets and gesneriads, and an accomplished designer, having won top awards at numerous regional and national shows. She has agreed to make the trip from New Jersey to speak to our local club before we open on Saturday. As our club is small, a very limited number of additional seats are available by prior reservation only (note: as they take place concurrently, do not register for both Saturday tour and this presentation!). Preregistration required (space is very limited)! You will receive information once you RSVP for the event (click here).
Guided tours (new this year):
9:30 am each day. We'll take you through our entire facility. See and hear how the business works and how we grow our plants. Preregistration required for tours (space is limited)! You will receive information once you RSVP for the event (click here). Tours will end when doors open to public (and sales begin) at 10 am. Sorry, tours for both days fully booked!

Details:
Last year's event was a huge success, with visitors travelling from far and wide. We've expanded the event to two days and, with a full year to prepare, are planning an even better show. There will be both large (standard violets, streptocarpus) and small (miniatures), among others, displayed as fully grown specimens (we started growing them as soon last years show ended).
Sales plants will be available of the displayed, and not displayed, plants. The "show" plants will be for sale as well and can be taken home at the end of the event. (Sorry, we cannot ship the larger plants--these must be picked up in person at the shop). If you come on Sunday, you will not miss out! We will have unique plants available both days and will restock the sales items.
Our staff, as well as members of our local African violet club will be on hand an happy to answer questions, should you have them, or provide advice, should you request it.
Complimentary refreshments (pizza, finger foods, beverages and other "goodies") provided. New for this year's event will be live music--when not viewing or shopping, sit back, have a snack, and enjoy!
As we don't have regular visitor hours, we hope that you attend this event. We plan to make it worth your time. If you do plan on attending, let us know so we can plan accordingly.

Our barn is located overlooking Canandaigua lake, in the beautiful Bristol hills. The village of Naples is a short 3 mile drive down the hill. The small city of Canandaigua is on the lake's north end, about a 20 minute drive from us.
