tabacum

Very unusual species, unique in many ways.  Crinkled, slightly oily, rounded, lobed, leaves that grow in a nice rosette and have a distinctive smell of tobacco.  Small, violet-purple blooms are easily produced by the dozens on long stems.  Very easy plant to grow and bloom.  A real collectible, especially if you're looking for sented gesneriads.  A species native to southern China, critically endangered in its native habitat.

Constant, multiple blooms

Very pretty plant. It has had multiple stems constantly from the time I received this last year. Very easy plant to care for. I really like that each stem has multiple flowers that keep developing as others droop and fade. The stems bear flowers for an incredible length of time and my plant has at least 6 stems of flowers at all times. I did not catch that it has a bad older all this time that I have had it. Just realized this on reading the description above. So odor is not that noticeable! Suzanne Wagner

Awesome plant

I really love this particular plant. It is easy to grow and the leaves have a scent to them. I understand some people don't care for it, but I find it pleasant and fun. The plant grows quickly, is never without bloom and stays in a symmetric shape. One of my favorites!
