Secret Rendezvous
This violet is amazing! Less than 18 months old and already is almost 12" in diameter and blooms profusely with minimal attention. Blooms are a deep burgundy- a bit darker than the picture indicates.
Definitely a keeper!
I purchased this variety in my first order from Violet Barn, about 6 months ago. The baby doubled in size, still in the original 2.5" pot and already bloomed beautifully! The flowers are small which is normal for the first blooming. The color is absolutely stunning! The pictures on the web site (with all my respect) do not do any justice. The actual color is not bright red, it is actually darker burgundy color which I like. Makes perfect contrast with the white edge. I know I should have removed the first blooms to help the plant grow, but I just couldn't :) I enjoyed every day of the blooming. I have a very limited space for plants in my home, so I will get rid of some varieties that did not impress me, but this one is certainly a keeper. Thanks Violet Barn!
Secret Rendezvous
I was delighted to discover that the Violet Barn was within driving distance. It is so tempting to visit and purchase on a regular basis. The shop is adorable and an African Violet lovers heaven! I purchased six varieties in the fall and they are all extremely healthy. I can't believe that I used to settle for grocery store violets. My Secret Rendezvous has not flowered yet, but the foliage is lovely and from my experience with the other plants from the Violet Barn, I expect it will be gorgeous when it does.
