Rob's Kalangadoo

Very unusual 'leaf chimera' with semimini trailing foliage.  Double orchid blooms with dark blue fantasty streaks.  Unique, dusting and streaking of gold on pointed green foliage.  A mutation of 'Rob's Galiwinku' but with variable variegated mottling of foliage.

Unusual leaves

I am fascinated by the leaves on this plant. They are so unusual - pointed and variegated. Almost thought it was not an African Violet. Looking forward to seeing it's blooms!

a beautiful plant!

This is truly a beautiful plant. The leaves are small, profuse and tightly massed. They are the perfect backdrop for the small, profuse flowers. I am happy I took a chance and ordered this plant.

Reliable

I've had this semimini trailer for almost one year. It has grown quite a bit, and it's always in bloom. I'm using a 5" pan pot but will need to upgrade soon.

A Beauty!

I got Kalangadoo with my first order from Violet Barn. I was very pleasantly surprised with this plant. The chimera on the leaf clearly shows different texture as well as color! It came to me in bloom and is still blooming! It was my first order but most assuredly it won't be my last!

Kanlangadoo review

I bought this in Detroit as I was fascinated with the leaves and wanted to test them. It is definitely a chimera, no doubt. All leaves produced solid green babies. The leaves are incredibly cool and this is the best part of the plant. It doesn't need to bloom to make me happy, every leaf is different. I does seem a tad picky though and is not one of the easier Rob's I have grown. I have move it to natural light as it doesn't seem to like my stands and it is doing much better. I give it five stars as I love the leaf patterns.
