Unexpectedly Endearing

I grew up knowing the wild Oxalis "sour grass" that grows as a weed in the garden, so the first time I saw these for sale somewhere I thought they were a little silly. However after trying this purple leafed one and a lovely orange cultivar named "molten lava" I have come to find them such charming little plants. They grow well, and can be used outside for annual planters. The dark purple leafed ones are especially nice when they bloom, since the small yellow flowers show up so well against the dark background the leaves provide. Indoors mine did become etiolated in the winter months, even though they were by a bright window. However they grow nice and bushy if you give them a trim every now and again anyway. Plus they take very easily from cuttings so you can save the trimmings and grow more as you please. I did end up losing mine from a sudden un-forecasted frost that claimed a fair chunk of my houseplants a few autumns ago, but I do plan on getting them back into my collection again once my new plant room is ready.
Happy 4 Leaf Clover

I got the bi-color 1 and it wasn’t there to review but they are the same genre so ... I am so excited with this little plant. Every time a new leaf comes in I hold my breathe, why, I was hoping for a lucky 4 leaf 1. I finally got 1. The happy little tiny yellow flowers are just so pretty. So I’ve been looking for the other pretty colors so I can purchase another 1. I have it in an East window in kitchen but am looking for another place to put it. The plant turns towards the light and when I had it on my desk with grow light it was doing great too. I would turn it a couple times a day to see it do it’s sunshine dance. It’s so small it can add a piece of happiness in small places.
Very short life

Plant was simply feeble, and in too bad condition. Could not breathe life into it. Another oxalis ordered at the same time met the same fate.
