Pearl Joy

(Zhemchuzhnyi Vostorg)  Sparkling sdbl. light pink blooms heavily peppered with blue fantasy.  Absolutely beautiful cream and seafoam-green, heavily variegated trailing foliage.  Rare leaf chimera--variegation is stable regardless of environment, and propagates true only by tip or crown cuttings.  Semiminiature. (a rare mutation from Russia of 'Rob's Boolaroo').

Pearl Joy

Hands down one of my favorite plants in my entire plant collection. A true stunner. I’ve had this violet for about a year. It took several months to get going. Once it started it produced multiple suckers and many flushes of blooms. Started with two small plants in a 4 inch dish and it’s ready for repotting soon. East facing window, regular weak fertilizer, and I water only when it just barely shows signs of thirst. I had a third plant in my order and set it up on a wicking system with 60-70% perlite and it shriveled within two weeks. Previously I tried this violet in a terrarium setting and it had a similarly quick demise.

Beautiful foliage but I never got a bloom

I ordered this plant and like all other items from Violet Barn, it was packaged impeccably. The plant was so tiny, and it struggled for a while. I was never able help it thrive, but the variegation on the leaves was exactly like the photos. I'll be trying again.

I got this little trailer for my desk - I have my desk in a south facing window with a solar screen on it. This little jewel has a a bloom everyday and seems quite happy.

Favorite!

This lovely plant has become one of my absolute favorites. Not only is the foliage stunning (stable "variegation", heck yes!) but the blooms brought me around to fantasy! They are a lovely blush pink with variable spots of blue. I love it so much I'm tempted to buy another. Tell me I don't need it!!

I think I'm doing it wrong

I've purchased two of these and they've both failed to thrive. Can't blame the plants. They arrived beautiful and healthy. It's user error somewhere along the way. I'll try it again soon though.
