Cute violet!

This violet is cute and appears on a smaller side, i guess whats called small standard species. It came in bloom and never stopped blooming since. Bc its smaller there are not tons of flowers as on confusa maher e, which is bigger plant with bigger leaves and just ton of flowers (i have too). This one is more delicate and special, and flowers are of the deepest purple of all saintpaulia i have. Leaves are serrated and lighter green. It is growing single crowned and sideways but i see small suckers coming on the stem. Enormous joy to watch them grow and bloom!
Very healthy!

My plant arrived with multiple crowns, my species violets arrive that way around half the time. I expect this is because the are literally wildflowers. I have managed to tame this one down to one crown, several of the off shoots seem to be rooting nicely. The main plant is recovering quickly from having much of it removed. I could not be more impressed with the health of this plant, I think I removed about half of it to tame it down and it just kept growing strongly. Mine plant has a very pretty lighter green leaf color with serrated edges. It is quilted but not nearly as extremely as many hybrids. It doesn't have buds yet, but even without them it is a lovely little plant (little for the moment) and I am happy to have purchased it. Also the rooting off shoots give me a chance to get other people addicted to species violets.
