Bob Serbin
I ordered this plant because I have always wanted a red violet. This violet blooms a beautiful red flower with a white line around the edge. Mine stays in constant bloom now that I keep it very moist when the flowers appear. The dark green leaves are a nice touch and make the red stand out even brighter. I love this plant and have already propagated it twice. It is easy to care for and does not disappoint. Thank you Violet Barn for this one!

This violet is a beauty. Nice leaf pattern. Gorgeous big blooms on sturdy stems, that last a long time. Very hardy and grown in natural light. Highly recommend adding this one to your collection.

Worth the wait
this was shipped in excellent condition. It took it’s time blooming, but then it was stunning, very profuse and lasted for a long time. Love Bob Serbin!

The leaves on mine got really hairy and unattractive
I'm new to this and overwatered. Am just now trying to dry it out and recover the plant. It just come back but I'm not sure I will keep it as the leaves are so unattractive. It was great when it came and the little plant even bloomed once (with many likes from friends) but then I did it in. I think in this case the plant might be easy for most - I just didn't know what I was doing.
Very fast grower!
This young plantlet grew very quickly into a beautiful specimen. Nice symmetry and stark blooms. Very lovely violet!
A favorite!
I originally had this violet when I started my collection of AV’s over 20 years ago. It didn’t survive one of my moves. I am very happy to have it my collection again . It has beautiful blooms on sturdy stems and the plant grows in a nice shape. Thank you Rob’s for your including it as a free plant on my last order.

Waiting on Bob
I have seen so many fabulous pictures of this violet on social media and Bob seems to be a real crowd pleaser. I received mine during some very cold weather and lost a couple of leaves. It's in the process of coming back and I look foward to blooms but they seem a while away. i went ahead and gave Bob 5 stars but my particular plant is about a 3 right now.

I love this plant! Ordered this plant after I saw it in a Martha Stewart magazine. Sadly I killed the first one. Ordered again a year or so again and have been so pleased with it. This plant blooms so frequently it has big beautiful blooms. The folage is beautiful too. If you want a plant that blooms regularly this is the plant for you

Even bloomed for my daughter with a black thumb
My daughter has killed air plants and various other so-called easy to grow plants, but this? It survived and bloomed! She is incredibly proud to have started to turn that black thumb green.
Very hardy violet!
I absolutely love the Bob Serbin that I bought from Violet Barn. It is a vigorous violet with beautiful blooms. I think this one would be a confidence builder for even a beginner. I highly recommend it!
Plenty to share.
I have enjoyed growing Bob Serbin over the years. It’s a great hardy growing violet that blooms like crazy. Nice red color with a solid well defined White edge. It easily propagates and grows fast so there’s always lots of new plants to give away. Your violet friends will love you!

Not a small standard
It’s my second review for this AV. After I read one review about that it’s a smaller standard, I have to defend this AV. I wish to able to put the picture of mine. My Bob Serbian violet is pretty big size and sits in 4” clay pot; thus, it is a regular standard AV. Gorgeous. Easy grow and in constant bloom.
Extremely profuse blooming!
Constantly flowering, blooms and foliage are both gorgeous. Out of all my plants these are thes one that everyone comments on when they walk into my living room. My favorite and highly recommended.
A Smaller Standard
My Bob Serbin was slow to take off, but now that it's established, it's in constant bloom. Now that the weather has cooled, it is beginning to display a hint of its white Geneva edge. The earlier blooms this summer didn't wow; they were a light burgundy color and rather petite. All in all, it is not a huge plant, so it is great for someone who doesn't have a ton of shelf space. I'm looking forward to its fall and winter blooms. The white edge will look great!
Easy and fast bloomer
This violet is a very easy and fast bloomer. Even though my plant gave a single layered flowers, it is gorgeous! Leaves made a perfect nest and many flowers stood high above it. Definitely, recommend it.

Eager to flower!
I just received this plant about a month ago. Lo and behold, when I was watering today I noticed "Bob Serbin" already has buds on it! I can't wait to see the flowers; such a trooper sending out flower stems when it only has a few leaves. I think this one will do well for me.

One of my best violets. Has been a healthy grower since I got it and has bloomed several times. Recovers quickly in the event of damage or accident in my experience.
Bob's a great guy
I went from growing only to show to growing only in my window sills and Bob Serbin still impresses me even with the less-than-ideal window conditions. The foliage is pleasing in color and symmetry and the blooms are long-lasting. I love Bob Serbin the most for the lovely slight ruffling of blooms and happy red color and white edging. Very highly recommended for either show or window!
Easy to Grow
This is a lovely violet. It has a very nice shape and the ruffly flowers grow high above the leaves. Not a very fast grower. I have had no problems with it.
Love This Plant
Arrived in perfect condition. After its first bloom it was transplanted to a larger pot and that's when it took off. It grew quickly and bloomed profusely and often. I have never seen so many blooms on a stalk. I highly recommend this plant for anyone looking for a stunning red!

Beautiful but didn't do well for me
I had a very hard time growing this plant. It never seemed to really establish itself and I have had great luck with all other Violet Barn plants. But it keeps speaking to me so I'm trying it again!

I chose this plant rather randomly. Now though it is still a "teenager", it is one of my favorites. Both the blooms and the foliage is breath taking. I consider myself lucky to find it.

Bob Serbin is my all time favorite plant. I have given several away. It has strong beautiful blooms. The color is a beautiful red. I love the edging also.
One of the Best
"Bob S." always performs beautifully! I gave away all my AV's when I moved and this is one that had to be replaced. It blooms proudly and for long periods of time. Just a beautiful AV and easy to grow/shape. This is one of those rare "easy to grow" that is truly "easy to grow". Enjoy!
Flower stems like tall trees!
I have never seen a African Violet plant grow flowers on stems that reach for the sky. These flower stems look like small trees. The flower stems are thick and strong and place the flowers a full 4 inches above the top of the pot. Each flower stem is like a tree. I have never seen this before in any other AV plant.

I have ordered many times And have always been delighted But this time leaves were broken there was one tiny bud. witch did dry up and had to be removed. I ordered 9/20/14 the plant has not gotten any new leaves and no more buds first time I have ever had this happen. And been disapointed
Surprise Favorite
This is one of my best. I don't like red but when I visited, I could not resist! I am so glad I got it, it is always blooming and looks great even when it isn't!
Carolina Elegant Affair
The leaves are beautiful. If you leave the plant a bright window the leaves turn pinkish. The flowers are delicate and with their yellow centers.....I wasn't sure I would like it but it is now my favorite.
Proven winner
Bob Serbin is a proven winner in my book. Easy to grow, puts on a big show faithfully and generous in providing new starts. Good red with a beautiful white edge that is very pleasing to the eye.

BEAUTIFUL PLANT!
This plant is a must have. It is not in constant bloom, but it blooms its heart out quite often and it well worth the wait. The leaves are beautiful dark green. The shade of the blooms are a deep red with pencil edge white border.

Great Plant
What's not to love about Bob Serbin? The color is outstanding and the white edge is a perfect compliment. The flowers are held well above the foliage. The plant itself is well behaved and shapes easily.

My Bob Serbin arrived today in perfect condition and in beautiful bloom! I could not be more pleased with this AV, it's always been a dream of mine to have one - let alone one grown by legends amongst AV growers. It was impeccably wrapped and just amazing. I'd highly recommend this plant, a must have for a collection.

I've had this plant in the past, and it was a lovely accent piece in my bedroom. It bloomed nearly constantly, snd always looked lush.
Simply Gorgeous
I bought this plant about a year ago and it has never been without blooms. The color is simply gorgeous, so deep and saturated and the white outlining really stands out. The leaves are beautiful, grow in a perfect symmetrical fashion and take a little pruning with ease. This is an all around perfect AV for beginners and pros alike. Definitely worth starting or adding to a collection.

I have grown this plant for about a year now. It is a healthy plant not fussy at all. I really like the red with white edge. Its a favorite because its always flowering and nice green leaves so it usually sits on the coffee table because it usually has pretty flowers to look at.

This is my husband's favorite violet, and also one of my favorites. Beautiful dark red flowers, very free flowering. The best red violet I have.
