Another original and popular plant.  Very striking white sdbl. blooms, lower petals dark red-purple, edged in white.  Has the look of an orchid.

So pretty!

One of my most vigorous streps. Blooms non-stop! Wilts a little when I forget to water, but bounces right back. A winner!

great bloomer

This is one of the best blooming streps offered. I've had blooms all through winter, and now a spring growth spurt with even more flowers. It's one of the easier growers, too - doesn't mind my low humidity and occasional lack of water.

the most flowers in my collection!

This plant puts out more flowers more often than any other in my collection! I am a novice with houseplants, but this one seems to love whatever it is I'm doing, the blooms just keep on coming.

The Most Rewarding Houseplant EVER!

Bristols Tie Dyed was my very first Streptocarpus. I purchased it in April, 2008; It started blooming that May; and it bloomed nonstop until I needed to divide it about a month ago (January, 2011). IT WAS NEVER WITHOUT BLOOM IN OVER 2-1/2 YEARS! I had equal luck with other Bristols varieties I purchased in 2009. More often than not, my plants are blooming heavily. I grow my "streps" in filtered sunlight supplemented by grow lights all evening. I make my own Cornell-mix potting soil, and I fertilize with a constant-feed formula of Peters Specialties African Violet Plant Food. Streptocarpus are the most rewarding houseplants I have ever grown, and if you’re only going to order one, I can’t recommend Tie Dyed highly enough. It’s my favorite!
