The perfect indoor bonsai plant

I bought one of these from a local garden center about 8 years ago and it is by far one of my favorite species for bonsai. In my opinion it combines the best qualities of Serissa and Portulacaria afra. The leaves are naturally small, comparable to the famous (or infamous) Serissa foliage, but is nowhere near as fussy. It does grow slower than the Serissa, but it is exceedingly forgiving with watering and root pruning like Portulacaria. It's a wonder that the plant is still so rare on the market, given how perfect it is for bonsai beginners. I recommend either training as a tanuki style, or planting in a very large pot for a few years to beef up the trunk. It does appreciate going outside in the summer to get that nice boost in growth.
Great looking, another plant very well shipped as usual

I just got this one about 2 months ago and it seems to be growing well. Just have to make sure I keep it watered regularly as not to dry out. Leaves have all filled out well and can’t wait to see how it grows so I can try shaping it in the future.
